With the exception of a track or two, everything featured in this mix is something I had come across in 2015. Though the tracks were released last year, I just had to get these goodies out of my system before moving on to newer music in future mixes. That said, I can confidently say that *most* of the tracks featured here will be brand new to most people listening to this (with the exception of the few breaks/bass nerds out there... you know who you are). ;)

This was a guest mix I recorded for my friends at Groove Nation on Air for their radio show on the fifth of December, 2014. It was the first time I had recorded a mix in almost an entire year, so I suppose that you could say that this is officially the end of my hiatus from DJ'ing! Enjoy!

My favorite tracks from 2013

It's kinda funny to be posting my favorite tracks of 2013 pretty much an entire month into 2014, but that's about how long it took me to put this together!

The genres and moods of the tracks in this list go all over the place, so I tried to at least organize them so that they have a somewhat coherent flow when listening in order (I am a DJ after all; it's the least I could do).

Some of the tracks are more or less unknown, some are utterly played out, and a few were actually from 2012 that I had never discovered until this past year. Anyhow, I hope that you guys enjoy!

How are your holidays going, everyone? I hope they're going well and that you all are staying warm!

I just wanted to let you all know that my new mix is up! This mix (my first in over seven months) consists of tracks I had discovered between April (when I posted my last mix) and now (with a track or two from 2012 that had admittedly flown under my radar until this year).

This may be my last mix for a while until I get my hands on better equipment (believe it or not, I have been using my M-Audio Xponent and Macbook from 2007 this entire time!). That, and so I can concentrate more on producing tracks (which I was supposed to start this year before getting caught up on my whole 365 photos project, though I'll save that for another blog post).

This mix was somewhat of a catch-up session for me, as I'd been falling behind with recording new mixes despite continuing to buy new music. This mix is filled with favorites of mine that I've stumbled upon between the summer (when I recorded the last volume of Bass Appreciation) and the end of 2012. I guess it's also worth mentioning that this year seemed to see a number of remixes of older big beat tracks from the late 90s. I figured I may as well toss in some of the more notable of those tracks as well. Anywho, enjoy the bass!

Many of the tracks in this mix were those that I had on repeat on the flight there and back, while the other tracks were favorites of mine this past summer. 2012 02 - bass appreciation 006

So here's my newest mix! I finally got it recorded today... I had originally planned to record this mix in the same fashion as Bass Appreciation 005 and the Ground Level Radio mix (where I mixed in during breakdowns), but doing that meant excluding perfectly banging tracks because their breakdowns weren't exactly constructed with perfect 16 bar loops... So back to the traditional mixing it was! Hope you enjoy it (and some of the admittedly not-quite-perfect transitions, lol)!
